Larry Harrell literally grew up in childcare with his parents Lawrence and Betty Harrell first opening the center in Oklahoma City in 1970, now Larry and his wife Jana are carrying on the family tradition of caring for Oklahoma’s children. “We want your children to feel good about them-selves, to develop their talents and know that they are special”. Larry & Jana Harrell believe children deserve love, attention, respect and an opportunity to develop their talents. They have incorporated this philosophy into every aspect of the centers programs. “Our goal is to give each child the opportunity to develop socially, mentally, emotionally, and physically through the guidance of our staff.”
Southwest Child Development Center meets or exceeds the policies and standards set forth by the Department of Human Services. We strive to offer the most current early childhood practices and quality childcare available. As parents ourselves, we understand the concerns you have for your child’s welfare. We encourage all our parents to become involved with the programs at Southwest Child Development Center. Drop by for lunch one day or come with us on a field trip. Staffing
Our staffing ratios meet or exceed state guidelines. At Southwest Child Development Center, our staff wants to give your child the best we have to offer. That means making an ongoing effort to improve our skills. Each staff member attends First Aid & CPR Training.
